Falling Stars is a generative audio visual iOS app that lets users sketch dynamic compositions. A variety of frenetic or soothing songs can be easily created by drawing with different ‘vines’ chosen from a palette, each of which serves as a different kind of ‘instrument’, providing an assortment of different timbres. As stars fall from above and collide with the vines, musical patterns emerge. The app was created for Trident Vitality as a way to communicate the essence of one of their newest flavors, Awaken. The app had to feel fresh yet sophisticated and appeal to a consumer both creative and tech savvy. I provided technical and creative direction for the application.
